GapMinder.com is one of those concepts that you wished you had started yourself because it's so incredibly awesome. This innovative technology looks at hundreds of years of data and analyzes it for a modern mind. Started as a non profit venture, GapMinder aims to promote a fact-based world view through increased use and understanding of freely accessible public statistics. In 2007, Google purchased the Trendalyzer software and made it open to the public.
